What I Am Thankful For...
So yesterday was Thanksgiving and of course this requires us to think about what it is we are most thankful for. So here it goes:
1. I am thankful that Judd Winnick has remembered how to write Green Arrow. Oliver Queen is my favorite character in the whole DCU but when he got his ass handed to him by Merlyn and Dr. Light, it was boring. How can a good beating be boring? Read that arc. But for months now, pretty much since the OYL jump, the comic has been pleasure to read.
2. Kind of related – I am thankful that Chuck Dixon gets to write his boy Connor Hawke again. I know it's only for six, but I definitely enjoyed that first issue this week.
3. I am thankful that the writers finally had Spider-man finally get his act together. I'm not a regular of the Spider titles but anyone reading this blog knows I haven't exactly been the most excited about the character decisions made by Marvel in relation to Peter Parker. Although, with Civil War #5 and Amazing #536, he's finally stepped back into the character I believe he should have been all along.
4. I am thankful that David Petersen came up with Mouse Guard. It's wicked pretty. Take a look.
It's the same reason that I'm happy a Kubert is doing art for Action Comics.
Really what I'm thankful about is this.
Yes, I know it has nothing to do with comics but man is that air band funny.
